Martin Luther King, Jr Celebration - FLYER

Theme: "WE'RE BETTER TOGETHER"

This annual celebration brings churches in the Sacramento area together to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr's vision of racial reconciliation and harmony. Over 2000 people attended the 2008 celebration.

We will celebrate January 18, 2009 through:
* Worship
* The 2009 MLK "Difference Maker" awards
* Keynote speech by Dr. Cynthia James
* Scholarships to Sacramento area youth

MLK "Difference Maker" Awards
We will present an over-all 2009 "Difference Maker" award to one person, as well as awards to five other individuals who have made major contributions in the areas of Service and Advocacy, Programs for Children, Innovation for Change, Unity of the Church, and Mentoring & Coaching.
